13 Clowns Repository & Addon Returns

If you are seeing pop ups from TVAddons’ Indigo addon installed that wasn’t there previously, it’s because the original 13 Clowns repository has been hacked and replaced with TVA content. So, why 13 Clowns vs Exodus Redux?

Kodi addons are made up of three separate parts:

1. The Scraper
2. The Resolver
3. The Search Engine

The 13 Clowns or Exodus Redux addons (or any other addon) is the search engine. It’s job is to search and query movie and TV titles. In the case of Exodus and other multi-source addons, it uses Trakt, TMDB, and TVDM databases to present movies and titles in playlists such as “most popular” or “trending movies”.

When you search or query a title, the Kodi addon searches through scrapers, which are websites on the internet that contain links to media files. The scraper used by 13 Clowns is Civitas Scrapers, which has quickly become the most popular set of scrapers for Kodi.

Exodus Redux is still using the old LambdaScrapers project, which has been abandoned and is not receiving updates any longer.

After showing you a list of media files, the one you pick to play is passed off to a resolver. The resolver module is ResolveURL, which is a collection of instructions on how to navigate through file hosts to get out the raw video file.

13 Clowns Latest Version

April 9th: The 13 Clowns Kodi addon has been updated to v5.0.3. Recent changes to the addon include:

March 19th: 13 Clowns has been updated to v5.0 and is back online. View the install guide below if you would like to install it today.

The addon uses the Incursion code base (The Incursion fork comes from the original Exodus addon) with LambdaScrapers integrated into the addon. There are some “tweaks” made but those specifics were not posted.

How to Install 13 Clowns Kodi Add-on

Standard Method

ON Kodi 17 Krypton & 18 Leia Only: From the main menu, navigate to Settings > System Settings > Add-ons > Turn On Unknown Sources > Click Yes.

1. From the Kodi main menu, navigate to SYSTEM > File Manager > Add Source > None
2. Type the following EXACTLY https://the13clowns.github.io and select Done
3. Highlight the box underneath and enter a name for this media Source like .13. and then click OK
4. Go back to your home screen.
   • ON Kodi 17 Krypton or later: Select Add-ons > Add-on Browser 
   • ON Kodi 16 or earlier: Select SYSTEM > Add-Ons
5. Select Install from Zip File > .13 > repository.13clowns-x.x.x.zip and wait for the Add-on enabled notification
6. Select Install from Repository > 13 Clowns Repo > Video Add-ons > 13 Clowns Video > Install
7. Wait for Add-on enabled notification

13 Clowns Kodi No Streams Available Fix

If you are seeing a fast “No Stream Available” when clicking on any title. follow these instructions:

1. Navigate to Tools > Settings: Providers.
2. Under the Providers tab, make sure the Scraper Provider is set to Civitas Scrapers.
3. Click on Open Civitas Scrapers Settings
4. Make sure the Choose Module Scraper option is set to Civitasscrapers.
5. Click okay
6. Follow steps 1-5 above one more time to make sure that your settings have been locked in.

You should see working streams with the 13 Clowns Kodi addon!

How to Authorize Trakt in 13 Clowns

If you are a Trakt user and store your movies and TV data in that service, you can sync your account by launching Exodus Redux and going to Tools > Authorize Trakt. Follow the prompts on the screen to sync your account accordingly.

If you get the Kodi ‘Installation Failed’ error when trying to install the latest version of the addon, the issue is because 13 Clowns has switched servers in the back end and your Kodi is still looking in its old location. 2. Click the Defaults button to reset your setting. Note that if you have gone into here and entered in some custom settings, you’ll want to make note of these so that you can set them back after you default out your settings.

Seren Latest Version

April 11th Update: Seren has been updated to v0.2.5. A lot of development time has gone into the addon and over 100 new additions and bug fixes have been added! Check out the full change log at the very bottom of this guide, but the main changes you should know about are:

1. There is a new “My Files” option from the main menu that shows all of the media files you have downloaded to your Premiumize and Real Debrid cloud. Quickly continue season packs and see what is being stored by those services.
2. There are new movie and TV show categories integration for Years and Networks.
3. There are tons of Trakt bug fixes and improvements. The first time you launch Seren after v0.2.5 is updated, you will be asked to initialize Trakt. Make sure you select “yes”.
4. The slowest 5 providers are now shown in the scraping dialog window. This is helpful if you would like to disable or turn these off.

April 2nd Update: We’ve updated the link to the Seren scrapers back, so check out the setup section and make sure that this new URL is installed in your system to get the latest scraper updates.

The last version of the Seren Kodi addon is v0.1.34, released on February 19th. This update comes with a huge amount of bug fixes and improvements from the last release.

If in the event your Seren install becomes corrupt, I would suggest making use of the “Wipe Addon Data” feature in the tools menu and re-setup your settings.

How to Setup the Seren Kodi Addon

When you launch the Seren Kodi addon for the first time, there is some setup and integration you will want to complete in order to ensure that you have a good experience! Follow the steps below, which have been accompanied alongside the addon install guide.

1. Launch the Seren Kodi addon.
2. Navigate to Tools > Open Settings Menu
3. Go to the Accounts tab and click on Authorize Trakt and follow the instructions on the screen.
4. Click on Enable Premiumize and Enable Real Debrid and follow the instructions to sync your accounts to the addon.
5. Go to the Providers tab and click on Install From Web URL
6. Type in http://bit.ly/a4kScrapers and click OK
7. A prompt will come up asking if you’d like to install the scrapers. Press Install and then press OK after they are done.

You are now ready to use and explore the Seren Kodi addon!

How to Install Up Next Kodi Addon

The Up Next Kodi addon provides a Netflix-style popup menu for automatically starting the next episodes playback in Kodi. Since Seren’s integration with Premiumize and Real-Debrid is designed to automatically queue up multiple episodes at a time, Up Next integration is a very handy feature!

To install Up Next, first install Seren using the instructions above. Then, perform these steps:

1. Navigate to SYSTEM > Add-ons > Install From Repository > Nixgates Repository > Services > Up Next > Install
2. Wait for the Add-on Enabled Notification
3. Click on the addon and click on Configure to bring open the settings screen.
4. In the Settings tab, change the Default action when nothing selected option to Don’t Play. This will stop Seren from automatically playing the next episode when you don’t select it to.
5. Enable the option to Enable on Playlist.
6. Press OK to save your settings.

Also In the Up Next Kodi addon settings, you can adjust things like how long the popup stays on your screen for, advanced presentation settings, and more!

Luckily, the solution to this error is very simple. You just have to enable RTMP in Kodi. To fix these errors, follow the steps below:

• Go to the Add-ons menu.
• Open My Add-ons> Open VideoPlayer InputStream.
• Click on RTMP Input> click on Enable.

How to Enable HD Videos in Youtube Kodi Addon

To enable the playback of HD videos in the Youtube addon, you MUST have InputStream Adaptive enabled. To do that:

1. From the Kodi main menu, navigate to Add-ons > My Add-ons > VideoPlayer InputStream
2. Click on InputStream Adapative and then select Enable.
3. Select RTMP Input and then select Enable.

How to Setup Personal Youtube API Key

The Youtube Kodi addon is configured with a public API key and on occasion, you may have seen a “quota exceeded” error in Kodi. This means that too many people have used the public API key in the day and you are prevented from streaming on YouTube for the rest of the day.

To fix this quota exceeded Kodi error, you can setup a personal Youtube API key using the instructions below.

1. Click HERE to visit the Google Cloud Console. Select your email preference (Yes or No, it does not matter). Select Yes to agree to the Terms of Service. Click Agree and Continue.
2. Select Project > Create Project > Enter Project Name (the name does not matter) > Create. Wait until the next page loads with the the New Project that you just created.
3. Click HERE to visit the Google API Library Area. Go to YouTube APIs > Select YouTube Data API > Enable.
4. Click HERE to visit the Google API Credentials Area. Select Create Credentials > API Key. Copy and Save the API key. You will need this later. DO NOT POST THIS PUBLICALLY. Click Close.
5. Select Create Credentials > OAuth Client ID > Configure Consent Screen. Enter a Name in “Product name shown to users” (the name does not matter). Click Save and WAIT for the next page to load with the OAuth Client ID screen. Then, Select Other > Create. Copy and Save the Client ID and the Client Secret. You will need these later. DO NOT POST THESE PUBLICALLY. Click OK.
6. Back inside of Kodi, go to the YouTube addon > Settings > API Settings > Click Enable Personal API Keys > Enter all 3 Keys > Click OK
7. Then, Sign Out and after Sign In again (with the normal 2 x web activation). After a successful Sign In to the YouTube addon you should now be using the Personal API Keys that you created.

How to Enable/Disable Scrapers

Depending on what addon you use, there are two different spots to adjust scrapers:

1. Universal Scrapers Settings (Program Addon)
2. Gaia Addon – Gaia has imported both sets of scrapers

To find your scraper settings, you need to head into the video addons (Gaia) or program addons (Universal) section of Kodi.

From your Kodi main menu, click on Add-ons.

Click on the Add-on Bowser gear wheel icon.

Click on My Add-ons

Enter your Program or Video Addons

Next, hover on the addon you want to change and hit the menu (‘c’) button.

Click on Settings

Depending on what addon you just opened, head to the scrapers section as follows:

1. Gaia: Scraper Settings > Provider Settings
2. Universal Scrapers: Scrapers 1 or 2 Sections

Keep the working Kodi scrapers listed above enabled and disable the rest!

It’s probably not a bad idea to clear your cache and userdata folder. You can find these options in each addon setting as well!

One other thing..

It is a good idea to clear out any old scrapers from your Kodi addons to ensure that the list you configured above is what will be accurate.

To clear out old scrapers:

Launch the Kodi addon you are working with (Gaia, Placenta, or the Universal Scrapers/jen based addon).

Navigate to Tools > Providers

Click the Clear button.

Now you will be good to go!

Still Not Seeing Good Kodi Links?

This update should make Trakt users very happy. Overall, A lot of features in this update are not available in any other apk (at least for the time being, I’m sure other apks will bring these eventually if they are useful).

How to Install TVZion Android TV & Amazon App

Android

TVZion is not available on the Google Play Store. Instead, it must be manually downloaded and sideloaded onto your device. You can also use Android software that automatically sideloads APKs for you. To install TVZion, follow these steps:

1. From your Android home screen, navigate to Settings > Security > enable Unknown Sources.
2. Download the latest version of the TVZion Android app by clicking here and move it onto your Android TV box via a USB stick or network drive..
3. Navigate to the TVZion APK file you moved onto your box and run the file. HINT: You can download ES File Explorer from the Google Play Store to make navigating file folders easy. You can also run the APK from inside of ES File Explorer.
4. When you launch the APK, select Install. TVZion will install and then it will appear in your apps section when it is done.

Amazon Fire TV & Android TV Downloader Method

1. From the Amazon home screen, navigate to Settings > Devices > Developer Options.
2. Turn On the option to install Apps from Unknown Sources
3. Head back to the home screen and launch the Amazon App Store/Google Play Store.
4. Click on the Search Bar and search for Downloader.
5. Click on Download to install the app and launch it once installed.
6. Type https://zionapp.live/d into the URL box and then click the Go button.
7. The TVZion APK will download. Click on Install once you see the setup wizard.
8. After it finished, click on Done and Delete the APK file from your box.

Nemesis AIO PIN System

The Nemesis Kodi addon uses a PIN system to grant access for users. A pin gives you access into the addon for 24 hours.

For those that aren’t familiar with the Pin system, it requires you to visit Nemesis’ website on the internet to get a pin which is required to be entered before you access the addon. This process is similar to the Openload pairing task that is required before using that file host.

If you don’t want to use the pin system, you can’t use the addon. Viewing the website for a pin helps give the development team ad revenue which can be used to pay for server costs.

There is a Pin System Android APK you can download to generate a pin and you can also generate a pin right from within the addon too.

2. Search DAZN
3. Click Download or Install
4. After it is done installing, find it on your home screen and launch the DAZN App.

What is Trakt?

Trakt is a service that contains information on every single movie and TV show. Some of the information it keeps track of includes:

• Title
• Release data
• Plot
• Actors, actresses, director, producers, and other associated people
• Poster and images
• Similar titles

When you create a free Trakt account, you can use all of this information in a variety of ways, including:

• Marking which shows and movies you’ve watched and want to watch
• Adding shows to custom playlist and collections
• Commenting and discussing the title

It sounds pretty simple, but Trakt is very good at working to keep track of your viewing habits thanks to a feature called scrobbling.

Trakt Scrobbling

When you watch a movie or TV show, Trakt stores this information in your account history and this is called scrobbling.

Scrobbling ensures that after you add a particular TV show or movie to your collection, it is automatically tracked and updated if you watch something. As long as you use a Trakt application that is hooked into it’s API, your account will automatically be scrobbled.

These Trakt applications include apps for iOS and Android.

But it also includes our favorite media player, Kodi.

How to Sign Up For Trakt

1. Visit the official Trakt website.
2. Click the red Join Trakt for Free button.
3. Choose a username and fill out the form. When you are done, click Join Trakt
4. You’ll be asked to select your favorite genres and some shows to add to your collection first. Fill this out now or skip ahead.

Once you are done, you’ll end up at your Trakt dashboard! You can browse through all of the options here or you are now ready to sync Trakt with Kodi.

Trakt With Kodi

You can sync and authorize your Trakt account in all of the most popular Kodi addons today (more on that later) to supercharge Kodi in a number of ways.

How to Authorize Trakt in Kodi

The process to authorize Trakt with Kodi is roughly the same. The hardest part is finding out where the authorize Trakt button is depending on your chosen Kodi addon. We’ve made it easy by listing the location of the 5 addons we listed above.

After you click on the bolded text in one of the addons above, you will be a prompted with a popup that says something similar to the following:

Visit https://trakt.tv/activate

When prompted, enter: *CODE*

To authorize Trakt with Kodi, open up a web browser on any device connected to the same network as your Kodi hardware. For most people, it will be easiest to use your smart phone or a laptop.

When you visit the address above, you will have to login with your Trakt information if you aren’t already logged in.

Next, enter the given code into the box and hit enter.

You may be asked if the application is allowed to sync with your Trakt data. In this case, press Yes.

When everything is complete, the Trakt authorization message shown above will disappear.

Congratulations, your Trakt account is now synced with Kodi. Feel free to perform the steps above on all of your addons.

So now what? Let’s have a look at what things you can do in Kodi with Trakt authorized.

Trakt “My” Lists

When you authorize your Trakt account within a Kodi addon, the first thing you’ll notice is that on the main menu are a bunch of new “My” lists: My Movies and My Shows. These “My” Trakt lists load your Trakt scrobbling data right into Kodi in a number of ways.

Let’s have a look at what “My” Trakt lists you may see:

Finish Watching

If you start to watch a TV show or movie but stop for whatever reason, Trakt knows that! It keeps a playlist titled ‘finish watching’ so that you can go and quickly watch that content you never quite finished in the past.

Collection

The Trakt collection is one of the most widely used features between Trakt and Kodi users. Your collection is like your library – all of those shows and movies you want to keep track of and access quickly.

If you only use one feature between Trakt with Kodi, make it the collection. It will let you quickly watch your favorite shows without searching them each time. And putting new shows or movies into your collection is really easy, which we will show you about in the next section.

Watchlist

Like the collection, the watchlist is a playlist of things you want to watch in the future or maybe are interested in. This is not a feature I’m that familiar with because I see it as redundant to the collection, but is another Trakt playlist you can use accordingly.

Next Up

The Next Up Trakt playlist shows you the next episode you haven’t watched in all of the TV shows you have stored in your collection. This playlist is nice because it saves you a few clicks. Rather than having to select a show, select a season, and then select an episode, you can quickly launch episodes from this area.

Unfinished Shows in Collection

This playlist is similar to your Trakt Collection, but it filters out all of the shows which you have watched all of the episodes for. The more you watch episodes while you have Trakt synced in Kodi, the bigger your collection will be and more content you’ll have to scroll through. In this case, it’s nice to just check out the unfinished shows you have left to watch.

Recent Episodes

One of the things Trakt keeps track of is the air date of every show in existence. The Recent Episodes Trakt playlist shows all of the episodes that have aired in the past week. When you are waiting for shows to air, this is a great spot to keep an eye on recent episodes.

My Lists

Trakt has a feature where users can submit playlists and allows other to add them into their Trakt account. For all of the lists you’ve added to your account, you can view them in this area.

Some examples of some custom Trakt playlists include “Newest HD movies”, “Best (genre) movies/TV”, or “Best (TV Network/Movie Studio) Collection”

Trakt Manager

The first Trakt with Kodi thing you want to get used to is the Trakt Manager, a context menu option that is added to your Kodi addons when you have an authorized Trakt account.

To access it, simply find or search for any movie or TV show in Kodi. When you are hovered on the title, press the menu button (‘c’ on a keyboard) to bring up the Kodi context menu. From here, select Trakt Manager.

The Trakt Manager allows you to quickly take a number of actions including:

1. Add to Collection
2. Remove From Collection
3. Add to Watchlist
4. Remove From Watchlist
5. Add to New List

So, you can add content to your collection and then quickly access it using the “My Lists” link we talked about above to access your Collection or Watchlist.

Mark As Watched

One nice thing you might want to get used to, especially if you want to use the Next Up and Unfinished Shows playlists is marking episodes you’ve already watch already accordingly.

To do this, hover on an episode of a TV show and press the menu (‘c’) button.

From the context menu, select Mark as Watched.

Some addons will show a checkmark beside episodes you’ve watched already. Trakt will also keep track of this data and will update playlists accordingly.

Previously, URLResolver added torrent and magnet link support for Premiumize and Real Debrid. That means that you’ll be able to access cached torrents in Kodi with URLResolver now.

URLResolver was originally created by TVAddons (source: http://fusion.tvaddons.co) and they store the official version. A few other repositories may also be hosting the addon update.

If you have either repo installed, your URLResolver should update to the latest copy automatically.
